There is no better way to end the year then to let the students teach you what they know. The students were able to review fractions and decimals by teaching their classmates the rules they remember. The students reviewed all operations related to fractions and decimals as well as how to convert between the two. It was a good opportunity for the students to become the leaders. Spending a day at Legacy Tennis Academy reminds you of the impact the skills you learn on the court have in your everyday lives, including in the classroom. The students were able to work on communication and collaboration skills. After some time thinking, and writing, about the connections on and off the court between school and sports the students worked on their tennis skills with some coaches. It was a beautiful day in the sun!
We had so much fun competing against our classmates in many different events. From picking up tennis balls with our feet and passing them to trying to fill a bucket with a leaky pipe! It was all hands on deck to keep up with the competition. Thank you to all the parent volunteers for making this day possible! |
