As we begin to really tackle a math review, the students have been subdivided into 5 groups per class to work in a math workshop format. Each student took a pretest to be able to work with students who are at their same academic ability. Within the group the students rotate through 5 different centers. Each center provides a blended learning opportunity. The students work on hands on math activities, talk through problem solving word problems, review already taught content, learn in small groups with the teacher, and practice independently at their seats. This format allows each student to be challenged within their comfort zone as well allowing more individualized instruction.
